We will continue with the visit to the Ex-Convent of CUILAPAM DE GUERRERO, in the Central Valleys region of Oaxaca. It is a 16th century building, of impressive dimensions, but it was never completed. Among its most characteristic architectural spaces is an open chapel, a type of religious construction characteristic of the first years after the conquest of Mexico, designed with the purpose of bringing together a greater number of indigenous people to convert to Catholicism.

We will end this visit with ZAACHILA, Villa de Zaachila, which was founded around the 13th century after Christ. Understood in the post-classical period and after the decline of Monte Albán as a Zapotec city and capital. The most famous Zapotec king, Cosijoeza, ruled in Zaachila. In the Archaeological Zone of Zaachila, we can observe in the vestiges, the great influence of the Mixtec culture, we will have the opportunity to visit one of the purely indigenous markets of Oaxaca, that of Zaachila as well as the archaeological zone.
