The Bays of Huatulco are located on the Pacific Coast of Mexico, 183 miles from the city of Oaxaca via the Federal Highway 175 which is the route to Pochutla. It takes about 6 hours to get there. If you travel the route through the isthmus, on Federal Highway 190, the trip takes approximately six and one half hours.

ROUTE: MEXICO CITY-PUEBLA-OAXACA-POCHUTLA-BAYS OF HUATULCO

From Mexico City you take the toll road Autopista 150 to Puebla ; continue on Autopista 150-0 Puebla Cordoba until you reach the intersection of the Superhighway Cuacnopalan-Oaxaca, and continue until you reach Oaxaca City . This trip will take approximately 5 hours.

From Oaxaca City take Federal Highway 175 in the direction of Pochutla Puerto Angel. Shortly after Pochuta is the intersection for the Federal Coast Highway 200; turn left on Federal Highway 200 and continue until you reach Bays of Huatulco. The trip takes approximately 6:30 hours.
